One of our highest read online articles last year was about the art of Joshua Petker (see here), and for good reason. Petker's colorful portraits are both jarring with their vibrant hues and occasionally shocking subject matter, while also maintaining a soft touch reminiscent of traditional American portraiture. For the artist's latest series of ten paintings we find Petker departing from paper and watercolor and returning to his blends of acrylics, ink and mixed media.
