Brooklyn-based artist Julia Chiang’s most recent exhibition, Security Is Mostly A Superstition, opened this month at Half Gallery in NYC.
Known for her recent My Rotten Apples series, This time, Chiang has presented an installation of white chains that range in length from five- to thirty-feet, each handcrafted by the artist.
She says of her work: “Most of what I do reveals the unevenness and imperfection of my hand,” she says. “I am interested more in what are viewed as flaws rather than perfection, and in finding objects and materials that hold a story and history.” (Source)
If you want to go to this exhibition hurry — it closes on May 2nd.
